yeah, what are we up to now? what are we doing? does white is boring still exist, or just vanish.
well, for your information, since our last so-called EP Suburban White Dogs, we've been busy planning our second coming, the Between Me and Your Guns album. We've been trying hard to make Guns as a well composed-well written album, in fact we've been over perfectionist to that album.
The first single "Relapse" has a great motion and show a definite evolution from the dogs EP, followed by our second hits "Black Feather", that was a great achievement for a little band from eastern Jakarta. But, in the next material writing we started to get a little bit dull, boredom, and financial problem starting to complicating our way for Guns to be released. So what happen ? we decided to take a hiatus, fixing problem around and in borings it self, Remon making a solo project Oweego with his little brother Randy and Kesa from Argot, remind me of the Dogs album but more well-polished, but hey! its the same Remon who write the song so it's fine with me :).
Anyway, on 2009 me and Remon starting to discuss our unreleased album the Guns, we talking about whats should we keep, and what we shouldn't. We talking about influenced each others mind recently, and finally the debate about keeping Relapse and Black Feather in the next album. Well, for me personally i really really think that borings should going with a fresh start, a non material condition, which is more easier to write the other song in the album, a new concept.
While Remon , in the other hand suggest that we keep the song and collecting the new material to fill the album, because people that already hear the song will question us "where the hell Relapse and Black Feather go?", Ok, so we took the decision that Relapse and Black Feather will going EP, just like Dogs, but we gonna mix it with new material, and hopefully the new material will be the next single for the next Album, so what you will got in the EP is a part of unreleased Between Me and Your Guns and a part of what will you get in our next album : "IGNORANTIA" !!!
And so back to the title of this post : what are we up to now?, well, the answer is preparing our next album IGNORANTIA, and trying to get some gigs wherever we can get (sound desperate isn't it? i don't care!).
Well, for Post about IGNORANTIA itself i will post it on Monday (I hope), because on this Friday Borings will starting to rehearsal and do some fuckin' noise, so for our friends and foes and everyone between that, you better watch it. Ciao !
